We stayed at this hotel with our baseball group for a tournament. The room smelled strongly of smoke even though it was clearly stated that the hotel was non-smoking. The shower curtain had what looked like mold stains on the bottom of the curtain. It was very ugly. The air conditioner did not keep the temperature down and last weekend we had a heat index of 109. Also, they charged a group rate that was $40 more than they usually charge for their rooms. I would hardly call it an action or a discount for a large group of families coming to stay. In the end, we didn't even have breakfast because we could only choose between cereal and a wrapped cookie. They didn't have waffle mix or a warm/hot option as stated on the website. Besides, none of the boys used the pool because it had a greenish tint and was very small and tiny. It was obviously disappointing on all levels.

The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, but the bus is in front, about 40 minutes, there are many places to eat, it is far from the supermarket, the price is low, it is a very good feeling

This Super 8 was pretty good. Good staff. I was very tired and slept well. It was right off the highway and it was very convenient to stay here on the way back to Minnesota. The staff was very friendly.

Little old Hampton. I agree with the previous review, this is one of the smallest Hamptons I have been to. You stay in about 25 Hamptons a year. This is one of those Hamptons that doesn't have closets in the room, considering they had hanging curtains on the walls. Also a very small window. In the morning I noticed that the door was closing loudly, probably because the building did not have enough sound insulation when I built it. The staff at the reception was friendly. The exercise room looked great. The breakfast area was small. The breakfast area in the Hampton, Hampton Inn and suites are much larger in the breakfast area and in the rooms in general.

I enjoyed my two-night stay at the Doubletree. I loved the view of Cedar Rapids from my room and from the top floor restaurant (which has a great breakfast). The staff were great and easy to deal with so I had two different reservations for two nights -- the hotels ruined it for me. The room was very clean. The elevators were very fast and they are parked across the street in a garage accessed by a footbridge across the street. I would stay here again.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Every weekend I drive back and forth to Cedar Rapids for work. I stayed at this hotel without any problems until last weekend. I stayed Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday morning I woke up COVERED in bites. These bites, now 24 hours later, have turned into red hot spots all over my body. When I woke up on Saturday morning, there were rust stains on the sheets, which is one of the signs of bed bugs. I was very itchy and immediately packed my things and left. I spoke with the general manager today who was less than helpful. She gassed me, and the victim blamed me, insinuating that I brought the bed bugs into the room. I come home during the week and have certainly never had this problem at home. She also claims that since she "took the course, but it's been a long time," she knew for sure that there were no bedbugs in her hotel because bedbug bites appear after 5-7 days. According to the CDC, bed bug bites can appear as early as ONE DAY after being bitten. I stayed in the hotel for two nights, just like the previous weekends. She told me she would do it as a "courtesy" to me, even though she wouldn't return it. After receiving the confirmation email that the refund was imminent, I noticed that the refund was not for the entire stay. It was only 2/4 of the night. I am a doctor and I WILL NEVER AGAIN risk my health staying at this hotel. I will contact the Iowa Department of Health and tell the other doctors about the situation and what to do.

I stayed at this motel for an extended period of time when I was in Cedar Rapids on business. I found the rooms perfectly clean and comfortable. What I love most about this place are the people who work there. So welcoming, efficient, helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond. I also want to say hello to Melissa and Nicole, very professional and hardworking!
