Some time ago I changed the additional plan due to the inability to provide any service and the inability to make phone calls. I kept the part D with them and still have the same problem. Payments keep changing and the medications I need have become unavailable. I am currently addicted to drugs from Canada.

I can't wait to register again. I wish they let you change every time you're really unhappy. Dealing with AARP rx was a nightmare. I called several times and got a satisfactory response from them. They contain substances, but they come in different amounts. So my husband gets 90 mg of a certain drug. They cover only if it is present in 100 mg. So what the doctor told me is a very unusual dose. Which type of thing is the same substance, just a different dosage. Does that make sense to anyone? This is just one of about 30 calls I made to these people. I hung up the phone crying. Please do not use AARP rx. It's just one big headache!

I called and got all the information to submit a dental report to AARP. Faxed 3/9/21. Invited 15.10.21. I found out in the process. Call me in a few days. I called. They show nothing received. I sent the copies on 10/21/21. I called. They said to wait another week to show if they picked them up. Terrible customer service.

We have AARP/United Healthcare. Overall, we are very happy with AARP as our health insurance provider! They always cover their portion on time! In addition, they have several advantages. Our favorite is $40 quarterly for each of us for many over the counter products, which is a great deal! They also have home visits, and to keep you up to date on your mammograms and other yearly tests, you get a $25 gift card for every test you get! They really care about their members! A very thorough health plan!

They raised my price to $190. in a month. They rarely pay, and even when they do, very little. It's frustrating to know that I pay much more per year than they do, but I worry that I won't be able to pay my medical bills if I need hospitalization or some other condition. I can barely afford it, but I'm too worried to give it up. It's a real catch 22. Insurance always wins. It's not easy for seniors.

They don't cover a lot of things because they only cover what Medicare covers. The teeth are important for covering, as are the eyes. Us seniors should have a doctor for free because the stress of paying for a doctor gives us too much anxiety causing strokes etc.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've been an AARP member for 13 years. There were many things about them that bothered me, but I pushed them aside. After all, this is AARP, a group that advocates and supports the elderly. It has always bothered me that they send a renewal notice even though my membership is not expiring. I would buy it, check my records, throw it away and file a complaint. This time I got a renewal notice even though I was signed up for automatic renewal and just paid without thinking. I got a new experience card. March 2026 When I put it in my purse, I found my old cortsp. March 2025. I still have more than four years.

The light finally reached my brain. They send out these bogus renewals to get seniors like me to give them more money even though it's an unnecessary renewal. AARP takes money from unsuspecting seniors. I called to get a refund of the $12 and to file a complaint about this practice. Neither Brittany nor Allison would give me their name or employee number. Strange! Another light bulb went off.

When I later called again to cancel my membership entirely, after much thought, Roxanne volunteered her employee number and said that everyone at AARP has one and should provide it when asked. It seems Brittany and Allison lied and didn't want anything back. What kind of business practice is that? After years with AARP, many trips and many needs, AARP has done nothing for me. Zero. When I went to their website for resume help, the price was outrageous. I got free online help. Travel discounts are minimal, and I've always saved a lot more. I destroy their magazine because there is no content, just a bunch of ads aimed at the elderly. So why am I still paying them? Well, not anymore!

I get better discounts with my credit card, smart shopping or my auto club. And it is because of their distasteful and criminal marketing practices that I have come to realize that AARP is the biggest scam in the US and the biggest source of misinformation sent to seniors just to get our money. AARP should be investigated and held accountable. Who should I contact for this?

It was 7 years old and their customer service was the worst ever. They have a mail order prescription that is actually worse than OPTUMRX. In 2021 I finished 7 years with them and went to NEW Medicare AND home delivery PRESCRIPTIONS. Much happier that it's only 11 days.

I have been an AARP/UNITED HEALTH CARE member for over 6 years and never had a problem until this year. I continued with my monthly payments as always through my online bank. Same address in Hot Springs. I just found out that my insurance has been canceled due to non-payment. I checked and found that the United Health Care Retirement Branch has moved to this address and is receiving and holding my insurance payments. This is a scam.

United Health dealt with me spending four hours of my life suspending me and cutting my calls. They finally said they would notify me by email if they reinstated me. I then contacted their partner AARP and was assured by a representative that it would be expedited so I could receive life-sustaining medication. It was yesterday. Nothing more. It doesn't matter to them that they stole the payments and embezzled them and committed a federal crime. They understand what I need to do to make sure they are responsible, and that won't help me or my health. AARP is not for the underprivileged in society. They are vultures that prey on the defenseless. I hope this prevents at least one person from falling victim to this device.
